Why Comedy? Um.....have you looked at the news lately? Yeah, you probably need to laugh. And you, like most of us, probably need to come to terms with life's more painful challenges. For example: death. This brings us to our picks.
Griefcast with Cariad Lloyd. This podcast may be as good as therapy, but don't ditch your therapist just yet. Cariad Lloyd is a writer and comedian in the UK. On this pod she interviews other comedians about loss. They discuss deaths that changed their lives in an intimate, one on one setting. As unbelievable as it sounds, you will be laughing as much as you are crying. This podcast is absolutely brilliant. Available on all podcast platforms.
Off Book: The Improvised Musical. This podcast is brought to you by Earwolf. We know what you're thinking: Musical Comedy? No! But, we must tell you that you're wrong. Kari did not think she'd like this podcast and was forced to eat humble pie. You will be entertained and totally amazed. These artists are quick, sharp, and possibly dangerous with their hilarious rhymes.
Womp It Up. This is also brought to you by Earwolf. Starring Jessica St. Clair and Lennon Parham, this is a fictional spin off of Comedy Bang Bang. Additional comedy stars play return characters in some episodes. Each episode takes us deeper into the world of high school student, Marissa Wompler, and her best friend, Stars teacher Charlotte Listler. It's loud, it's crazy, it's hilarious.
